Positive
Psycology

What's it means?

Positive psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on strengths, well-being and flourishing, rather than only treating mental illness or fixing psychological problems.

1. Positive Emotions

Experiences of joy, gratitude, hope, comfort, awe and contentment. It focuses on nurturing pleasant feelings to lift overall well-being.

2. Character Strengths & Virtues

Innate positive qualities such as curiosity, bravery, kindness, integrity, self-control, wisdom and compassion

3. Engagement & Flow

Deep immersion in an activity, where time passes unnoticed. People fully focus and lose self-consciousness while using their strengths.

4. Meaning & Purpose

Feeling connected to something bigger than oneself, including personal missions, values, community or spiritual beliefs

5. Accomplishment & Mastery

The sense of achievement after learning, practising and reaching goals. It builds confidence and self-efficacy.

6. Resilience & Coping

The ability to recover from hardship, stress and setbacks. Not avoiding difficulties, but growing stronger through challenges.

HAPPINESS

It studies what makes individuals and communities thrive. Instead of merely helping people get rid of pain, it explores how people can build a meaningful, joyful and engaged life.
